Join us for a public lecture by Dr Susan Parham from the University of Hertfordshire’s Centre for Sustainable Communities at the University of NSW on Wednesday 3rd October. The lecture will start at 6pm in the Rupert Myers lecture theatre, light refreshments will be available in the Red Centre West Wing Foyer from 5pm-6pm. Dr Parham’s lecture is about designing and planning for food. It examines ways that food production, distribution, and consumption arrangements have been played out in three fast transforming urban sites in contemporary London. The lecture explores how traditional city design and spatiality has informed the making of a richer, healthier, more food centred everyday life, while producing places that have also become the loci for food led-gentrification.
