NSW Housing Market Quarterly Bulletin

The Real Estate Institute of New South Wales (REINSW) has commissioned City Futures to collaborate in the production of a quarterly bulletin analysing recent trends in the NSW housing market. The purpose of the bulletin is to establish REINSW as an authoritative source of property market intelligence and to inform the market advice that Institute members may provide to clients.

Encompassing both residential property sales and the rental market, the prime sources for the bulletin are propertyDATA.com.au (house sales transactions) and the Housing New South Wales rent and sales reports (rental market trends). The City Futures contribution to the bulletin includes:

  1. A descriptive commentary on housing market activity in the most recent quarter, highlighting the most notable statistics and trends – drafted with a view to providing angles potentially of interest to property journalists
  2. An analytical commentary on housing market trends and possible contributory factors (e.g. recent landuse planning decisions, policy directions, demographic and economic trends
  3. A market conditions and analysis section featuring a regular set of relevant economic, demographic and financial indicators to include a similar range of issues covered in the REIV publication.
  4. Suburb level maps of median house prices and recent median house price changes in metropolitan Sydney

The bulletin is produced for limited circulation to property journalists as well as being provided to REINSW member agents.
