This research proposal aims to assist the review process by providing some data driven scenarios of future growth and urban renewal in the study area that can be used for strategic planning. The scenarios will allocate new residential and commercial units in the study area taking into account forecasts of future housing demand, transport capacity (including new light rail), real estate dynamics, and planning controls. The scenarios will also be assessed through selected number of data driven indicators from Kensington to Kingsfords (K2K) related to relevant social, environmental and economic aspects of urban growth, to which data is available. A 20 year timeframe is used for the scenarios.
